I’m Cory, a runner and triathlete from the great state of Iowa. I live in Dubuque, a picturesque town built on the bluffs of the Mississippi River. In the past couple years I’ve traveled well over 4,000 miles running through the streets, trails and countryside of the Mississippi River Valley. Follow my journey as I train, compete, and have fun exploring the world on the run.

A couple more good nights of running this week, feeling very comfortable running more days in a row while slightly cutting back mileage before the big ramp up. I a bonus mile or so then a group run with the crew on Tuesday which consisted of a 5 mile loop heading downtown and back up 3rd. I still struggle with the steep grade but I feel I'm making improvements slowly. Wednesday I headed out solo right after work for another 5 or so, I stuck to the marathon schedule which called for hills and cranked out nearly 550 elevation in just over 5 miles, not crazy high but enough for sure.
Glad to say my legs feel great and no soreness worries at the moment, looking forward to another fun tomorrow with the club then the mile race Friday night.
